As announced on the Q3 call, we've engaged Growth Marketing Pros on a monthly retainer to provide web development, maintenance, and SEO improvement services. The initial assessment from GMP was to spend a month updating, fixing, and improving a handful of site-performance aspects. Month 2 will begin to focus on SEO-focused content. You can click the play button on each GIF below to see the updates in action. Here are highlights of some of the initial work that GMP has performed:
1. Floating main navigation bar - the main navigation bar at the top is no longer fixed; it now moves up and down the page as the user navigate through the content. This keeps the actions available in the menu easily accessible at all times.
2. Location-Specific services pages in the main navigation menu - Each franchise location has a list of service-specific pages associated with that location. The helps to increase SEO visibility and provides more location-specific content for consumers. Previously, the main landing page for a location had a list of those location-specific service links, but the main navigation menu only referenced the corporate services pages. This shortcoming has now been resolved. When a user navigates to your location page and then uses the Services menu option in the main navigation bar, the service page will reflect your location's information.
3. Added a Table of Contents and Call to Action form on the blog sidebar - Each blog post now includes a linked table of contents. This helps search engines and AI provided snippet results with the most accurate information. By having a linked table of contents for each post, the search engines will more easily index and return our content. We've also added a call to action button on the sidebar of each post for easy access. Below you'll find a screenshot of a blog with the new TOC and contact button.
