After a few delays, the long-awaited recruiting updates are ready! The new careers page and the updated version of Olivia have gone live as of 12:30 PM ET today, September 28th. There are a few ramifications to the new system that you should understand.

1. There will be a period of time over the new few weeks where the new and old Olivia systems will run in parallel. Anyone who has begun a conversation with Olivia in the old system will remain in the old system unless he/she reapplies. Your HR team will need to operate BOTH systems in the coming weeks to ensure everyone that is in the old system has been worked through to completion. To toggle between systems, use the dropdown carrot in the top-right corner of the screen. The new system has your location in the name, i.e. 2nd Family Central Maryland. The old system simply says 2nd Family.

2. Remember to update the job advertisements that you have on 3rd-party sites like MyCNAJobs. You can either point candidates to https://careers.2ndfamily.com to apply for a job, or you can use your location-specific URL. To find your location-specific URL, go to Menu > Settings Icon > Web Management > and grab the URL for the 2nd Family site. This is a location-specific URL for your agency. Alternatively, you can advertise that caregivers send a text-message to a location-specific phone number. Your specific phone number can be found by going to Menu > Settings Icon > Phone Numbers.

3. The HR curriculum in 2nd Family University has been updated with all new material to cover how to use the new Olivia system. Every franchise owner and HR associate is required to take this course in the next 14 days so that you are fully trained in how to operate the new system. You can self-register at https://university.2ndfamilyfranchise.com. The updated course includes a flow chart, a list of status definitions and associated automations, and all new videos which illustrate how to use Olivia's new features.

4. As a reminder, beginning in October you will now be billed $55 per month for the Olivia platform. Until now, each franchise location has operated under the original license for 2nd Family of Central Maryland free of charge. Our network of locations has since outgrown that license, and thus each location will now be individually setup and billed. In order to prevent you from incurring a large yearly fee from Paradox, 2nd Family Franchising has covered that cost and we pass it on to each location in monthly installments. You will see the first charge for Olivia on your October 2022 invoice.
