Today we installed an updated version of the extension in CRM. Below is a list of pertinent updates and how they each affect the workflows.
1. Lead profile, Status field
If the Status field on the Lead profile is updated to Contacting - Paid Lead Source, then the SMS Opt Out box will automatically uncheck to unlock SMS capabilities on the Lead. The reason we did this is because, after consulting with both Caring.com and Aging Care, we were able to obtain proof of the authorization that both vendors are obtaining from leads consenting to receive SMS messages from third-party vendors related to a home care inquiry. Therefore, this status will now unlock SMS for your lead.
2. Lead Profile, No Answer SMS Msg field
For Leads listed with the Status of "Contacting - Paid Lead Source", you now have messaging options in the "No Answer SMS Msg" field which match the cadence of the call tasks. After each call placed to a lead, if the call goes unanswered, you should then edit this drop down field in chronological order, i.e. after the first unanswered call, select "First Attempt". After the second unanswered call, select "Second Attempt" and so on.
This will send SMS messages to the Lead that will now include the name of the referral source. The intent behind adding the name of the referral source is to build credibility in our message. Here is an example of what a message looks like; this is the message that goes out when then First Attempt option is selected:
"Hi Cheryl, this is Josh Markland with 2nd Family. Caring.com asked me to reach out to you. I'd love to learn more about your senior home care needs. What day and time would be best for us to connect? If you prefer I not text you, please reply 'stop'"
3. Lead Profile, Tasks
The instructions for each task have been updated to reflect the changes the SMS capabilities over the last few months. You will no longer see tasks indicating that you should send an SMS message if you don't have the ability to send an SMS message. Also, unused portions of the Status workflows were removed for housekeeping purposes.
4. Sales Launch Guide
The Sales Launch Guide has been updated to reflect all of the changes listed above.
